I've come to embrace the notion that I haven't done enough in my life. I've come to confirm that one's title, even a title like president of the United States, says very little about how well one's life has been led. No matter how much you've done or how successful you've been, there's always more to do, always more to learn, and always more to achieve.
Barack Obama, Arizona State Commencement Speech,
200944th President of United States (1961 - )
I really like this quote by President Obama. There's always more to do, always more to learn, and always more to achieve. So true!
How can we rest on our laurels? No matter how much we've achieved in life, there's always a higher mountain to climb. There's so much I want to do after exams:
Learn to speak Malay
Learn to play the guitar
Lose weight and get six packs
Go hiking (tree top walk anyone?)
Update blogs
Join a Mandarin Toastmasters Club
Start an exercise regime with the kids
and the list goes on.
It's important to keep learning so we can keep improving. And with the skills we've acquired, we can help the people around us and make a difference. That's what I would like to do with my skills as a TCM practitioner.
