Out with the Old, In with the New!

Before you know it, the new year is upon you! 
Stealthy as a cat...


2011, with all its events and happenings, is gone,
what's left is a vague memory.


2012 - A clean slate!
What will the future hold?


Today I picked out all the clothes I haven't worn in ages
and pyjamas that Jayden has outgrown
and filled one big bag.
It's time to de-clutter and that's just the tip of the iceberg!


Out with the Old, in with the New!


And it's time for New Year Resolutions. 
I'm even afraid to make them.
Just a few days ago, I was thinking how it takes so much effort
to be good, to be disciplined, to stay motivated.
It's just better to stay a slob and do whatever your 'id' tells you to do!
But that would only make you remain in a state of stagnation.


No, I would choose the better way!
The words of a song come to mind:

I'm pressing on the upward way,
New heights I'm gaining every day;
